First post. Am I supposed to add a "YAY!" here? No? Okay then. Boy, I'm having such a flashback to those days spent on LiveJournal. Tumblr was easier and the reblogging made things both easier and more impersonal, if you ask me.
But, wait, don't go, I like comments!
In order for people to comment and tell me about all the ways I'm wrong though, I probably need to post something. So I've decided to do an intro to the whos and hows of me by shitposting about stuff I love. This way, when it will continue on and on even after my billionth (as if, ha!) post, I can always say "Warned ya!".
I love meta, I love discussion, I love theories about books, TV and movies, so do chime in, please *screams into the void*.
Captain of the Avengers
Dec. 18th, 2018 03:14 pmAm I the only one who could swallow Whedon’s Steve as canon, in character Steve only if we see him as extremely suicidal?
To me, that would explain why he’s so different from his Captain America Trilogy self.

I honestly can’t say that I love Captain America, but I absolutely adore Steven Grant Rogers. Judging by the movies we’ve seen him in, I’m not alone.

The One True Hero
Dec. 13th, 2018 04:37 pmTwo shows, two heroes. They are very similar, and yet one is better than the other.
Beware, beware, spoilers for Supernatural and 12 Monkeys galore!

My Wayward Sons
Dec. 13th, 2018 03:59 pmI didn’t want to, I swear, but after that little bit of news I just read… in case anyone watching the latest season of Supernatural (14!) and reading this doesn’t want to be spoiled, I won’t post what it is that I read about, but let’s just say I was sure he was never going back, off to greener, richer pastures. Goes to show you what I know, I guess.

I know no one is reading this (hopefully just yet), but, yeah theme change because
a) Green is the best color
b) no more dark border for my icon. I hated that I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, that black border comes nowhere near my dog, got it?
c) now I can gush about my dog. Did you see her? Isn't she the best dog? *annoying babbling you can hear from every dog-slave ever*
bonus point d) I love lists, another thing you get to know about me! Useless facts can be cool, isn't that right?
Anyway, enough selfishness. Thanks to whomever did this pretty theme. Love the color.

A Love Letter to "12 Monkeys"
Dec. 11th, 2018 09:55 amThis might sound pathetic, but 9 (nine!) days ago I've discovered this show thanks to a girl on The-Site-That-Must-Not-Be-Named, who'd reblogged an infinity of GIFs about it. I knew we had similar taste so decided to give it a try. One week and no time travel from me later...
Guys, Gals, You should watch it!
This show is amazing.
Time travel and time loops that ultimately make sense? Check!
An interesting plot? Sure there is!
You're a sucker for post-apocalyptic stuff? This is the show for you.
We have eternal, death-defying, epic love here... Oh, it's not your cup of tea? Don't worry, we have subtle possibly world saving hints at a love story in the background!
Still not into it? I have more! Friendship galore, brothers (as dysfunctional as the Winchesters, if that does it for you), men and women, family bonds to end all family bonds.
You want awesome characters? Heroes who are flawed, loyal friends whose loyalty gets tested time and time again, redeemed assholes, Jennifer Goines (who is a category of her own)! Strong in their weaknesses, weakened by their best traits, c'mon, can you resist?
A couple of musical numbers (thank you, Jennifer!), theater performances, a musical album in french!
Did I mention time travel?
Yes, it's imperfect at times, but what isn't? The occasional cheesiness will have to be redeemed by the fact that there isn't one person left unsatisfied by that finale.
4 seasons, 47 episodes, trying to kill Hitler, saving the world, stakes and levity, cheeseburgers, butterflies and two-for-one turtles.
Just, maybe try it, if at least half of my incoherent squeeing sounded nice to you? Pretty please, with no cherries on top (I am greedy for cherries, what can I say).
It's incredibly underrated, but so, so worth it.
And if you already love Cole, Cassie, Jones(y), Jennifer, Deacon, Whitley, Ramse and Olivia, feel free to come to me to squee some more. Or even to discuss the pitfalls of this show.
What else can I say?
See you soon.
